PM Modi’s 6 Guarantees for West Bengal: Trust, Justice, and Development
Prime Minister Narendra Modi addressed a massive public gathering in Haldia on Thursday, April 9, and outlined his vision for West Bengal if the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) wins the state elections. Targeting the opposition’s stronghold, Modi emphasized that the state’s progress has stalled under the current administration. He urged voters to support a double-engine government, where the Prime Minister and Chief Minister work together to bring rapid development and transparent governance.
In his speech, PM Modi laid out six key guarantees aimed at transforming West Bengal’s political and administrative landscape.
1️⃣ Replacing Fear with Trust
PM Modi promised that the BJP government would replace the TMC’s “atmosphere of fear” with an environment of trust and confidence in governance.
“A BJP government will replace this atmosphere of fear with trust. It will restore faith in the rule of law.”
This pledge ensures that citizens can live without fear or intimidation, promoting a safer and more secure environment.
2️⃣ Holding Public Servants Accountable
The Prime Minister declared that under a BJP government, public officials must answer directly to the citizens they serve.
“The administrative machinery will be accountable—fully answerable—to the public it serves.”
By implementing this, the government will improve transparency, efficiency, and trust in public administration.
3️⃣ Delivering Justice for Women and Corruption Victims
PM Modi vowed to reopen cases of corruption and crimes against women that the TMC allegedly ignored or suppressed.
“Every scam, act of corruption, injustice to our daughters, and every case of sexual assault will be reopened and investigated.”
This step will bring justice to victims, ensuring that wrongdoers face consequences and restoring public confidence.
4️⃣ Taking Strict Action Against Corrupt Leaders
The Prime Minister made it clear that no one will escape the law, whether a minister or a government employee.
“Under the TMC’s rule, those involved in corruption belong in jail. No TMC goon will evade justice.”
Through this measure, the BJP promises to fight corruption and strengthen the rule of law across West Bengal.
5️⃣ Protecting Citizens’ Rights and Controlling Infiltration
PM Modi assured that all genuine citizens, including refugees, will receive full rights and government support, while infiltrators will face legal action.
“Government facilities will be made available to all genuine citizens, and infiltrators will not be allowed to stay in this country.”
This initiative will safeguard citizens’ rights and maintain social order.
6️⃣ Implementing 7th Pay Commission for State Employees
Finally, the PM promised that a BJP government would implement the 7th Pay Commission for state employees, teachers, and related sectors.
“We will ensure fair remuneration for all government employees, in line with the 7th Pay Commission.”
This guarantee will boost employee morale, ensure financial fairness, and support the state workforce.
